About Impact Justice

How to share feedback and get involved at IJ!

We hope that everyone will take the opportunity to provide input through the many opportunities that arise during the regular course of work at IJ. For example, input is solicited and expected during team meetings and gatherings. Myriad other gatherings, whether formal or informal, and just bumping into other people in the office, provide an opportunity for input. In addition, these are some specific channels that can be used.

Impact Justice Staff Council (IJSC)

The IJSC engages with representatives of leadership to provide input and perspective to support the development of organizational practices and materials. This group comprises volunteers from across departments and is a vehicle through which broad input and feedback can be obtained. Additionally, this group is one avenue through which staff can share their perspectives and provide input for organizational decision-making. For more information about the group itself, you can read the full charter here.

The Council members would love to hear from you. Current Council members are:

  • Emily Charron
  • Bess Cohen
  • Sheely Edwards
  • Erica Gammill
  • Leticia Lara
  • Ashley McKay
  • Welcome Rose
  • Chance Vernon

The most direct and effective way to provide input is to contact a council member, either individually or through the email list IJstaffcouncil@impactjustice.org. This most easily allows for follow up questions and discussion on your input. If you prefer, you can use this google form to submit your input, either anonymously or with your name attached. The Staff Council is an appropriate vehicle for input on:

  • Organizational practices and policies
  • Potential ideas for improving the employee experience
  • Recognition of things that are working well

Through Your Supervisor

Your supervisor is your first stop for any questions or input you have related to IJ, your team, and your role. You can contact your supervisor at any time, but IJ also provides several specific channels:

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)

ERGs provide an organizationally-supported space and place for people of similar backgrounds to come together for support and community building. These groups are staff-led, and are not IJ sponsored.

The existing ERGs at Impact Justice can be found here: Current ERG List.

If you’d like to form a new ERG, please take a look at the Employee Resource Groups Policy for how to do so!

With the People Team

You can always get in touch with the People team by emailing people@impactjustice.org. Use this email for all HR inquiries and concerns unless you need to speak directly to a member of the People Team regarding a specific issue — it will be routed to the right person. All emails are answered within 48 hours.

Annual Engagement Survey

Each year, you’ll be asked to complete an engagement survey administered via CultureAmp. The survey provides a channel for broad input and feedback from all staff.
