Sheely Edwards is the Communications Associate at Impact Justice and a proud member of the Impact Justice United Bargaining Committee.
Before joining Impact Justice, Sheely was Opinion Editor and Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Utah Chronicle at the University of Utah. In 2022, they were named “Journalism Grad of the Year” by the Utah Society of Professional Journalists and “Student Leader of the Year” by the University of Utah Student Media Department. Sheely also worked at the Hinckley Institute of Politics, Utah State Legislature, and Campaign Legal Center, among other research projects and local campaigns.
Sheely comes to their work with a passion for using research and communications to expand our political imagination and organize progressive change. They graduated summa cum laude from the University of Utah with dual bachelor’s degrees in political science and sociology. Sheely is currently pursuing an M.S. in labor studies from UMass Amherst.
