Join Impact Justice and Hunger Free America on Jan. 19 at 12 p.m. EST for a workshop on the food in prison experience and food insecurity.
This workshop will be co-hosted by Mika Weinstein and Leslie Soble of Impact Justice, discussing prison food justice and Impact Justice’s recent report, “Eat Behind Bars: Ending the Hidden Punishment of Food in Prison.” Volunteers will have a chance to ask questions of the presenters, and engage in a dialogue about the topic.
The second half of this event will be devoted to participating in Hunger Free America’s COVID Food Assistance Project, calling emergency food sites to verify their information for a national database of these sites for the public.
