“[Daniel Bisuano] is a former gang member who spent time in foster care while his mother struggled with addiction. Today, he’s a community advocate, who has worked with Homeboy Industries, a prominent gang rehabilitation program, and the California Justice Leaders, among other groups.

He’s also an LGBTQ activist, poet, writer and part-time English student at the Los Angeles Trade-Technical College. He has taken part in several episodes.

‘The podcast is saying, ‘You don’t have to be alone,’ Bisuano noted recently. ‘You can speak up without fear to lift one another up. But to also find power together.'”
