Megan Spencer spent 11 years in the hospitality industry working her way from hostess to general manager, where she developed a passion for efficient and effective tools and processes. Most importantly, Megan showed compassion and empathy for staff, vendors and customers, while managing daily operations of a demanding industry.
Throughout her 11-year tenure, Megan was constantly exposed to the inequalities and gender biases found within the industry. Knowing that she wanted to make a difference not only for herself but for others found in the same situation, she went back to school to finish her Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Organizational Studies and went on to get a Master of Science in Business Analytics from Saint Mary’s College of California. These degrees helped her connect the dots between her passion for efficiency while honing her leadership skills, helping her empower others.
Megan joined Impact Justice in September 2022 and is excited to be leveraging the skills she gained throughout her professional and academic careers to help the finance team with account receivables, collaborative budgeting and special projects.
