Kelsey Cummings is the Senior Program Manager for the California Justice Leaders Americorps and LeadOn programs, which support young adults impacted by the justice system through employment opportunities, leadership development, and mentorship. Kelsey supports the outcomes of the CJL program through oversight of operations and compliance, partnerships and the Alumni network.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Kelsey has over 10 years of experience primarily in New Orleans public schools, working to make resources more accessible, equitable and trauma-informed. Kelsey has worked closely with high school and transitional aged youth, families, teachers, administrators and community partners to improve and streamline services. In her previous role, Kelsey supported low-income, first-generation high school students in navigating the social-emotional challenges of high school and the pursuit of a higher education.
Kelsey graduated from University of Redlands with a B.A. in race and ethnic studies and earned her Masters Degree in social work from Tulane University.
