Jennifer Federico joined Impact Justice’s team as a contracts clerk in our Los Angeles office in 2023.
Jennifer was born and raised in Virginia, and became engaged with environmental and human rights work while working with the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL) in Washington, DC as a program associate for the trade program. While at CIEL, Jennifer attended the global civil society World Social Forum in Brazil, an exciting event that gave her the opportunity to meet people with a wide array of experiences and beliefs.
From DC, Jennifer moved to California, where she had a lengthy career with the international nonprofit organization IPEN, which works towards a healthier world where people and the environment are no longer harmed by the production, use, and disposal of toxic chemicals and heavy metals. At IPEN, Jennifer participated in United Nations meetings related to legally-binding, international treaties and sustainability and chemicals-related frameworks. She also had the privilege of working regularly with people from different cultures and backgrounds all over the world — people who inspired her with their dedication and drive in the face of challenging obstacles.
Jennifer’s desire to focus on nonprofit work with a more national and/or local focus and belief that another world is possible led her to Impact Justice. She is also a huge animal lover and activist, and has volunteered for multiple animal shelters in California for over seven years.
