Gabrielle Wiley (she/her) is the program coordinator for the California Justice Leaders-Americorps project, which provides employment and leadership opportunities to young people with prior involvement in the justice system while increasing awareness of and access to California’s Honorable Discharge petition process. Before joining Impact Justice, Gabrielle worked in education as a high school history teacher and as an associate for an education technology company. As an advocate for educational equity, Gabrielle worked closely with students to develop leadership skills and prepare for their roles outside the classroom. As a Teach for America-Americorps member, she served on the Teach for America Corps Council and used data analysis, peer reflection, and feedback from community stakeholders to center teaching practices on positive student outcomes, culturally responsive curriculum, and indigenous sovereignty. Gabrielle graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in History.
