Fernando Parada is a Community Navigator with Los Angeles’ Homecoming Project, where he supports individuals impacted by incarceration as they navigate reentry and build pathways to stability.
Drawing from lived experience, Fernando brings deep sense of empathy, trust, and credibility to his work. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare and is a certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, equipping him to support individuals facing complex challenges related to substance use, mental health, and systemic barriers.
Before joining Impact Justice, Fernando worked as an admissions counselor in residential treatment, guiding individuals through critical transition points and connecting them to care with dignity and clarity.
Fernando’s approach is grounded in proximate leadership—meeting people where they are and walking alongside them as they move toward self-determination. He is driven by a belief in second chances, the power of connection, and the importance of expanding access to opportunity for those too often overlooked.
