Ashley McKay joins Impact Justice with over 15 years of experience advocating for historically marginalized communities. She began her career providing resources to immigrant families and a robust after school experience to children in the Long Beach School District. After graduating from CSU Long Beach in Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies, Ashley transitioned into homeless services in East Los Angeles. While there, she developed and directed city and regional homeless prevention programs where she led efforts to combat client housing barriers, including conviction history.

Most recently, Ashley piloted and executed an Older Adult Program in East Los Angeles which allowed seniors to age in place. Her professional goal is to develop programs that are more inclusive and accessible to the people they serve. Ashley is the new Senior Program Associate of Housing and Partnerships for The Homecoming Project in Los Angeles.

Fun facts: Ashley has a small earring business and hates writing with black pen.
