Lesly Tejada is the Program Associate for the Homecoming Project in Los Angeles.

Before joining Impact Justice, Lesly worked with organizations such as Community Coalition, the ACLU of Southern California, and the Washington Office on Latin America where she supported community-based advocacy, coalition building, and human rights work. At the ACLU of Southern California, she conducted jails visits and monitored conditions in Los Angeles County jails, documenting grievances experienced by LGBTQ+ individuals and supporting advocacy to challenge harmful carceral practices. While at Community Coalition, she supported community-driven racial justice work aimed at addressing the disproportionate impact of disinvestment in South Los Angeles. Lesly attended UC Irvine where she earned her B.A. in Sociology and International Studies and earned her M.A. in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University.

Fun Fact: In her free time, Lesly enjoys taking yoga classes, taking nature walks, traveling, and reading.
