Leticia Lara is a seasoned Human Resources professional whose career spans more than 20 years of dedicated service for several government agencies including Contra Costa County, Orange County and Los Angeles County. More recently, she has provided strong employee relations and labor relations support to a large non-profit in the Bay Area.
Throughout her career, Leticia has successfully developed and implemented human resources processes, programs, and policies that have adapted to the changing demands in the workplace. Due to the pandemic, and other significant social, environmental, and political issues, Leticia understands how important it is to support the efforts of the People Department to address the impact that this has created — and to help lead initiatives that respond to this rapidly-evolving, and changing work culture. She has an unwavering commitment to deliver high-quality HR leadership and communication skills that support and sustain workplace environments where inclusivity, diversity, and inspiration are encouraged and valued.
With an unwavering commitment to deliver high-quality HR leadership, communication and people skills, she has successfully provided her expertise to many organizations and in September 2022, Leticia began working with Impact Justice as a Human Resources Fellow. She enjoyed this work and transitioned into the Employee Experience Partner role in mid-January 2023 with a commitment to Impact Justice’s vision to continue to provide supportive, responsive, and professional human resources services that will support and strengthen the team.
Leticia earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Whittier College, and has maintained a strong interest in expanding her knowledge and skills by becoming a certified mediator and life coach. She is fluent in Spanish and is proud of her hispanic heritage, but more importantly, she brings a deep appreciation for the diversity of this workforce — rich in culture, and traditions while unequivocally forward-facing — ready to advocate for change that will best serve our communities and our future.
