We hope that everyone will take the opportunity to provide input through the many opportunities that arise during the regular course of work at IJ. For example, input is solicited and expected during team meetings and gatherings. Myriad other gatherings, whether formal or informal, and just bumping into other people in the office, provide an opportunity for input. In addition, these are some specific channels that can be used.
Engagement Advisory Council (EAC)
The EAC is one avenue through which staff can share their perspectives and provide input for organizational decision-making. The EAC is an elected group of representatives from all non-leadership levels and from each division, that acts as a voice on behalf of staff and meets quarterly with the Executive Team (ET) and Senior Leadership Group (SLG). For more information about the group itself, you can read the full charter here.
You are welcome and encouraged to reach out to your EAC representative at any time! You should already be added to the Google Space for any EAC group you are a part of, and there are email distribution lists for each EAC group as well, listed below:
Distribution Lists (emails sent here will go to all of the people in each constituent group):
-
eaclevel123@impactjustice.org (Levels 1-3, EAC rep Rabia)
-
eaclevel45@impactjustice.org (Levels 4-5, EAC rep Sandra)
-

And, if you want to email the full EAC, you can reach them at EAC@impactjustice.org.
Through or To Your Supervisor
Your supervisor is your first stop for any questions or input you have related to IJ, your team, and your role. You can contact your supervisor at any time, but IJ also provides several specific channels:
- Regularly scheduled check-ins w/supervisor (Suggested Check-in Template)
- Annual 2X2 sessions with your supervisor (2X2 Template)
- Annual Upward Feedback Questionnaire – each year, each staff member is asked to provide feedback on their supervisor.
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
ERGs provide an organizationally-supported space and place for people of similar backgrounds to come together for support.
The existing ERGs at Impact Justice can be found here: Current ERG List.
If you’d like to form a new ERG, please take a look at the Employee Resource Groups Policy for how to do so!
With the People Team
You can always get in touch with the People team by emailing people@impactjustice.org. Use this email for all HR inquiries and concerns unless you need to speak directly to a member of the People Team regarding a specific issue — it will be routed to the right person. All emails are answered within 48 hour.
Annual Engagement Survey
Each year, you’ll be asked to complete an engagement survey administered via CultureAmp. The survey provides a channel for broad input and feedback from all staff.
