sujatha baliga gave a foundational presentation about restorative justice in a webinar with ASL interpretation for The Deaf Action Initiative. The webinar covers the history and development of restorative justice and provides examples of different forms of how restorative justice is used. Watch the webinar below.

The Deaf Action Initiative is a three-year OVW-funded training and technical assistance project designed to increase the capacity of Deaf organizations to address domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and/or stalking in their communities in the US. The Deaf Action team is composed of representatives from the Vera Institute of Justice, Abused Deaf Women’s Advocacy Services, Advocacy Services for Abused Deaf Victims, and DeafHope.
