Tierney Comas is Impact Justice’s human resources manager. Her expertise is in employee relations, performance management, performance reviews, and career development. Prior to joining Impact Justice, Tierney worked with AAA Mountain West Group, where she supported 48 branch operations in Northern California. Her role consisted of creating partnerships with managers to be proactive with their teams. Before that, she previously held roles in human resources with Allied Universal, Securitas, and Avis Budget Group.
Before human resources, Tierney spent 18 years as a financial center manager for JP Morgan Chase in New York City and Atlanta. She assisted in five bank mergers during that time. She was responsible for large teams at JP Morgan Chase, which inspired her to pursue human resources as her second career.
Outside of work, Tierney volunteers extensively for criminal justice reform. She supports restoration of families impacted by incarceration, re-entry programs and resources, parole preparation, and improved rehabilitation programs and services for those currently incarcerated in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. She received her bachelor’s in management from Clark Atlanta University and her MBA with human resource management from American Intercontinental University. She also holds two micro-credentials for California benefits and California wage and hour law from the Society for Human Resource Management.
