Mandie is the 2nd Southern California regional program manager for the California Justice Leaders. Mandie has been involved in reentry work for over 11 years. She was a team member of Million Dollar Hoods research project. Mandie also served as a member of the Measure J Advisory Committee and Co-Chair of the Education Access and Youth Development Subcommittee, which provided recommendations for LA County community based investment, such as affordable housing, reentry wraparound services, and workforce and youth development. Mandie also worked for A New Way of Life, an organization that helps formerly incarcerated women and their children restore and redeem their lives, and the Worker Education and Resource Center, which provides training and employment pathways to individuals with challenges and barriers to employment. 

Mandie was a part of the Juvenile and Fair Sentencing Legal Clinic, working with adult offenders who were sentenced to disproportionate life sentences as juveniles. She provided mitigation evidence for the majority of her clients who are gang adjacent and/or gang-involved. She  received a certification from the Loyola Law School Independent Forensic Gang Expert College.

Mandie received her Masters in Legal Studies with a specialization in criminal justice from Loyola Law School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with minors in Education and African-American Studies from UCLA.
