Irene Senaya joined the National PREA Resource Center in 2021 and serves as a program coordinator for the DC-based team. She supports the operations and resource management division of Impact Justice’s PREA portfolio.
Before joining Impact Justice, Irene served as an executive intern for Mayor Jacob Day of Salisbury, MD, where she worked with city council members to reconstruct job screening and hiring processes. Her work helped to stem rising recidivism rates and create reentry opportunities for formerly incarcerated people.
Irene graduated from Salisbury University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science.
