Ayesha is an electrical engineering and computer science major at the University of California, Berkeley. She migrated to the United States in 2004 with her family from Pakistan and has resided in California ever since. In the past, she has held positions with: Pacific Boychoir, a Grammy Award winning school located in Oakland, California State Department of Consumer Affairs in Sacramento, and the California State Senate, former President pro Tempore Darrell Steinberg’s office. Growing up in an impoverished country and as an immigrant in the United States has led her interest in the distribution of resources, specifically electrical power, and the racial, economic, and ethnic issues that have an impact on its distribution. In the future, she hopes to work on electrical grids and install them in underprivileged countries.
