Donate Crypto

Impact Justice now accepts cryptocurrency! Whether it’s housing people after prison, using restorative justice circles in place of prosecution, or building the next generation of formerly incarcerated young leaders, your gift to our Cryptocurrency Innovation Fund will be invested in high-impact solutions that promote healing and accountability, not punishment.

Donating cryptocurrency is one of the easiest ways to give and has significant tax benefits. Please contact your tax or financial advisor for more information.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Why should I donate cryptocurrency?

Donating cryptocurrency directly to Impact justice is more tax efficient than donating cash and can actually save you money. You do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct the fair market value on your taxes, meaning more of your donation goes straight to people who need it.

How do I donate Bitcoins and other cryptocurrency to Impact Justice?

Donating cryptocurrency to Impact Justice is easy! Use the form above, select your cryptocurrency type, complete the information, receive the wallet address, and make your donation.

I need a wallet address to complete my donation. Where can I find this?

You can access all of our wallet addresses by using the crypto donation widget. Once you reach the third step, you will receive your unique wallet address and can complete your donation.

Will I receive a receipt?

Yes, you will receive a receipt for your donation via email. You must enter your email address when prompted.

Is my cryptocurrency gift tax deductible?

In the United States, the IRS classified cryptocurrencies as property, so cryptocurrency donations receive the same treatment as stocks or other non-cash gifts. Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event. Talk to a crypto-savvy tax professional or connect with The Giving Block to get connected with one.
